The photos above are from a beautiful set designed by Aaron Shettler. I flew out to Denver to paint this set in a couple of days, and I wound up staying up for what seemed two nights straight, and then getting on a plane back to Chicago. Brantley Dunaway was the Producer at Denver Civic Theatre at the time and Jacob Welch recommended me for the quick job. I began mixing instant coffee into the red on the floor because I liked the warm brown it gave to the red, and the blue, and the black on this set. I also drank a lot of instant coffee.
