One of my favorite projects from last year all done in grayscale- for Shattered Globe Theatre. Joe Forbrich wrote an amazing play documenting the story that Moby Dick was based on. In Whaleship Essex  is documented the lives of the men that struggled to work these ships, some survived and some did not.Joe is an accomplished actor whose roots are in Chicago – has now been both on Broadway and film. He was Shattered Globe’s Technical Director many years ago.

Shelley Strasser Holland designed lights- Michael Stanfill’s outstanding projections transformed the space. As the set designer- I chose Jessie Howe to paint the show and she did an amazing job with the floor- and Brittany O’Keefe and Melissa Geel also helped with the finish work.
